E.Novation to take over VANAD IT Outsourcing in China
25-03-2009
Communication and integration specialist E.Novation is about to gain its own development office in Chengdu (China). When it acquires the office from sister company VANAD, E.Novation will also gain the 30 enthusiastic employees who work there. The new office will exist under the name E.Novation ITO and its main purpose will be to further improve E.Novation's services and enable the company to operate at a higher competitive level.
E.Novation had already been utilising the resources offered by its sister company in China for some time. More than three quarters of all projects executed in Chengdu were commissioned by E.Novation. Consequently, making the Chinese office an official part of the E.Novation organisation was an obvious choice. “E.Novation has carried out a relatively large number of projects with Chinese developers in Chengdu and our experiences have been extremely positive. We are exceptionally pleased with the quality of work and the contact with our colleagues in China,” says E.Novation COO Jeroen van Rijswijk.
Impressive infrastructure
In late February, a delegation from the E.Novation Board of Directors visited the offices in Chengdu, and were very impressed with what they saw. “The software park's infrastructure is particularly impressive. We were pleasantly surprised by the qualities of the people there; our company’s capacity has been expanded with thirty young and enthusiastic colleagues,” says Van Rijswijk.
Quality retention
Although E.Novation’s customers need not fear for the quality of E.Novation’s products and services, Van Rijswijk understands their concern. “I too was reluctant to embrace the collaboration with a Chinese party, but it is going extremely well. A few of our Dutch colleagues are coordinating projects on site and have their own Quality Assurance department. Our customers hardly notice that part of their solutions are developed in China. The quality is on a par with that in the Netherlands: nothing more, nothing less.”
Higher speed and flexibility
E.Novation’s activities in Chengdu are currently focused on the development of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions for its customers. It is also implementing extensive conversions. Due to the positive experiences, E.Novation has moved part of its own product development activities to China. “This will enable us to benefit from the increase in capacity, provide a more efficient and flexible service to our customers, and all at competitive rates,” explains Van Rijswijk.
The VANAD Group also encouraged E.Novation to take over the offshore outsourcing office in China. “Close to 80% of all projects for E.Novation are executed there, so it is only natural that these people become part of this company. All other business divisions of the VANAD Group will continue to deploy the Chengdu resources,” VANAD Group President & CEO Ad Nederlof concludes.
