E.Novation holds Proof of Concept for Single Sign-On
14-10-2008
Revalidatie Friesland has selected E.Novation’s expreSSO for its 250 specialists. This Single Sign-On solution allows access to all applications that users are authorised for by means of a single log-in. A Proof of Concept (PoC) will take place over the next three weeks with the intention of using this solution for all applications used by the revalidation center.
Thanks to E.Novation’s Single Sign-On solution, healthcare providers at Revalidatie Friesland will only have to log in once to gain access to all applications they are authorised for. The solution is linked to the organisation’s existing Windows environment, which contains the authorisation structure for the use of applications. This authorisation structure is seamlessly incorporated in E.Novation’s solution. Thanks to a simple wizard Revalidatie Friesland can add new applications to the Single Sign-On environment itself.
According to IT Policy Officer Robert-Jan Besselink from Revalidatie Friesland, the selection of E.Novation’s Single Sign-On is a strategic choice. "We were looking for a solution with a long-term perspective. For us, Single Sign-On is a very important first step in optimising our healthcare services. In addition to Single Sign-On, E.Novation’s Identity & Access Management Suite offers a wide range of possibilities for implementing the NEN 7510 and the UZI (Unique Healthcare Identification) card more quickly", Besselink emphasises the fact that the supplier's level of knowledge also played a crucial role. "E.Novation's knowledge concerning the NEN 7510 and the implementation of the UZI card was a decisive element in our choice for this solution."
The order from Revalidatie Friesland is E.Novation’s first success in the field of Identity & Access Management. E.Novation expanded its portfolio with this suite halfway through this year as a supplement to its solutions in the field of data and image integration. And a lot more orders are on the way, according to Sales Manager Sven Walraven. "We are discussing these solutions with various other healthcare institutions. Identity & Access Management is an important topic that is currently receiving a lot of attention in the healthcare sector", concludes Walraven.
