Belgian healthcare market new spearhead for E.Novation

E.Novation has named Belgium as a spearhead of strategic importance. The communications and integration specialist sees many opportunities in the Belgian healthcare market to apply its services to improve the quality of healthcare. In order to realise E.Novation's ambitions, one of its account managers will concentrate entirely on the Belgian market.

Belgium is currently making substantial progress in catching up in the domain of medical data exchange. E.Novation wants to cooperate with healthcare institutions in making a proactive analysis of the requirements for exchanging this data within healthcare institutions and between healthcare providers. The initial data consists of text messages, but there is also a strong need for the exchange of medical images.

E.Novation's Commercial Director Sven Walraven emphasises the large number of efficiency benefits and cost savings to be achieved in Belgium. He explains: "A major reason is the fact that many healthcare institutions use expensive point-to-point, customised interfaces to allow their systems to communicate. If there are any changes, each of these interfaces needs to be adjusted manually, which is both labour-intensive and time-consuming."

Cloverleaf, the successful E.Novation product used by 60% of hospitals and numerous other healthcare institutions in the Netherlands, such as mental healthcare and rehabilitation centers, is an ideal solution to this problem. Since its introduction in Belgium, seven healthcare institutions have found that they can achieve substantial cost savings and more efficient working methods due to integration solutions such as Cloverleaf.
